George Lucas Says There's Only One Correct Order In Which To Watch The Star Wars Films
By MATT RAINIS
In the late ‘90s and early 2000s, George Lucas released three “Star Wars” prequels, and although they were poorly received, they’ve remained a must-watch for fans. However, because the prequels were made after the originals, fans are confused about the order in which to watch them, but George Lucas has recently given a definitive answer.
Some people think the “Star Wars” movies should be watched in the order they were produced, while others think they should be watched in chronological order and still others have different opinions. Lucas, a fan of simplicity, recommends, “Start with one. That’s the way to do it right: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. That’s the way they’re supposed to be done.”
Of course, since Lucas is the creator of the franchise, his opinion should be definitive, but others have weighed in. Aaron Paul of “Breaking Bad” suggests, “start with the original ‘Star Wars’ movie,” while Vulture recommends watching the fourth movie first then 5, 1, 2, 3, and 6, so “you get to start with two good movies […] Then you end with a good movie.”
