Season 3 of “Star Trek: Picard” reunited Gates McFadden with Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Frakes, Michael Dorn, Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner, and LeVar Burton of “The Next Generation.”

“Picard” was the first time the “TNG” cast were all together at once in 21 years. McFadden recalled to Variety how wonderful it was to be “back in action” with her former co-stars.

McFadden was on set from the first scene of Season 3 of “Picard” and in the unique position of greeting each of her “TNG” co-stars as they were called back in one by one.

She said, “I remember the day Michael Dorn came in and I was shooting that first scene [...] I was having so much fun because it was an action scene [...] Then Michael walks on...”

McFadden added, “[Michael and I] just hugged each other and we're like, ‘This is so cool!’ That's the one I remember the most, because he was the first one I actually saw.”

The first portion of “Picard” Season 3 saw Stewart and Frakes rescuing McFadden from a tight spot, and she had several scenes where the three of them were united on the Titan.

McFadden said, “[T]here was this moment when Patrick, Jonathan, and I were on the bridge of the Titan. And we were like wow [...] It was really special [...] I love these people.”
