Fox Canceling The Sarah Connor Chronicles Killed An Intriguing Terminator Plot
By JOE ROBERTS
The 2008 TV series "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" did the same thing as 2019’s "Terminator: Dark Fate" by retconning the three films that followed "Terminator 2."
The show was canceled after its second season, which ended with John unintentionally changing the course of history and no longer leading the human resistance.
Since the show's cancellation, creator Josh Friedman has not discussed what could have been — but in a 2018 interview with the Paley Center, he was unusually candid on the topic.
One major focus for a third season would have been Catherine Weaver, a terminator that Friedman revealed may have created some interesting alliances with humans.
Friedman went on to say that "the Weaver side was kind of an outcropping of the original AI" and that would have created a more peaceful resolution to the resistance.
