By BEN F. SILVERIO
No one could have guessed that the young New York writer Stanley Martin Lieber would rise through the comic book world and become the titan of pop culture, Stan Lee. On what would have been his 100th birthday, Disney and Marvel have announced a documentary celebrating the life of the legendary comic creator that is currently under development.
The House of Ideas unveiled the project that appears to be titled "Stan Lee" with a short video on their YouTube channel that features several of his trademark MCU cameos and zooms out to an artistic rendering of the icon with his signature glasses and mustachioed grin. The video is accompanied by the caption: "100 years of dreaming. 100 years of creating. 100 years of Stan Lee."
Additional details, such as what subjects the documentary will cover or potential participants that might appear onscreen, aren't currently available, though "Stan Lee" will release on Disney+ sometime in 2023. Lee's work has inspired generations of fans and creators alike, so there's undoubtedly no shortage of people that would participate in telling his story.
