Emma D'Arcy Threw Together A Slapdash Audition For House Of The Dragon

Spoiler Warning!
This story contains spoilers for the first two episodes of
"House of the Dragon."
“House of the Dragon” is set almost 200 years before “Game of Thrones” and will feature a 10-year time-skip midway through the season, where some of the roles will be filled with other actors to reflect the passage of time. Emma D’Arcy is set to take the part of an adult Rhaenyra Targaryen, and the actress shared the lengths they and their partner took for the audition.
D’Arcy revealed that they had to produce a “very speedy audition tape” on a phone propped up against a bag of chips, and later during a virtual meeting the showrunners asked if D’Arcy had a wig. “All I had were some hair extensions left over from a job. No way of attaching them to me, no idea how to do that,” explained D’Arcy.
D’Arcy continued, “We hot glued these hair extensions to these wig grips,” but this wasn’t good enough for co-showrunner Miguel Sapochnik. D’Arcy said their partner had to spend “an hour and a half before we taped anything” doing D’Arcy’s extensions for each submission to match the distinctive long, platinum hair of the Targaryens.
