Ed Harris Knows Westworld Season 3 Went A Little Off The Rails
By SANDY SCHAEFER
Despite many fans enjoying the mind games and intrigue of the first two seasons of “Westworld”, many didn’t seem to enjoy Season 3. Ed Harris didn't exactly love working on it either, stating in an April 2020 interview, "I didn't like it. I still don't. But that's my problem."
The season is a big allegory for data mining, but the story as a whole is mired down in its own complexity leaving the audience to feel quite confused. Harris, it seems, would agree with that assessment, saying, “[...] I have talked to a lot of people that were into Season 1 and 2, and then Season 3 was very, very, confusing."
Harris admitted several Season 3 storylines "threw [him]," explaining: "There were so many dimensions, and people could be anybody at any given time kind-of-thing. It was bewildering to me, but I just ended up just focusing on, okay, the Man In Black, this is what he's doing. This is what he's trying to do. Blah, blah, blah."
