Dune Made Austin Butler Set A Boundary He Didn’t Have For Elvis

Austin Butler famously gained an accent he had trouble losing to play Elvis Presley, but he tried to keep some work-life balance when filming "Dune: Part Two."
The actor donned a bald cap and a serious scowl to play Feyd-Rautha, the ambitious Siridar-Baron who challenged Timothee Chalamet's Paul Atreides to a duel in the new film.
It would've been tough to keep the mindset of Feyd-Rautha going 24/7 even if Butler had chosen to, but he told the LA Times he decided to not go too "Method" this time around.
"I've definitely in the past, with 'Elvis,' explored living within that world for three years and that being the only thing that I think about day and night," Butler explained.
However, he said that doing the same thing with Feyd "would be unhealthy for my family and friends." Director Denis Villeneuve laughed it would have been unhealthy for him as well.
"That's not to say that it doesn't bleed into your life," Butler told the LA Times. "But I knew that I wasn't going to do anything dangerous outside of that boundary."
