Donald Glover & Gillian Jacobs Had Dan Harmon’s Favorite Community

Nearly a decade has passed since the last episode of “Community,” yet the show remains popular among fans as there’s something comforting about Greendale’s collection of screwups.
The show featured many improvised moments throughout its run, with creator Dan Harmon revealing that many of his favorite moments came from Donald Glover and Gillian Jacobs.
Harmon was asked what his favorite improvised lines were and shared, “The crown jewel probably has to be ‘I have the weirdest boner,’ which was improvised by Donald.”
This line comes from Season 1, Episode 15, “Romantic Expression,” where Britta and Jeff try to convince Troy (Glover) to pursue a romance with Annie, leading to the
ad-libbed line.
Harmon praised some of Jacobs’ improvised moments on the show as well, adding, “Gillian cracks me up whenever Britta is trying to be ‘awesome” in any way.”
These include “the ‘snake’ move” from “Romantic Expression” and a cut moment from Season 2, which sees a drunk Britta making “a raspberry at Jeff” and drooling on herself.
