Disney's Ahsoka Series Has Found Its Live-Action Ezra Bridger
By SANDY SCHAEFER
Though fans still don’t know where Jedi-in-training Ezra Bridger went after the end of “Star Wars Rebels,” the character is set to return in the upcoming live-action “Ahsoka” series. The Hollywood Reporter and Cinelinx report that Ezra will be portrayed by Eman Esfandi, the up-and-coming actor from the LGBTQ+ military drama “The Inspection.”
“Ahsoka” will begin with the title character’s pursuit of the villainous Grand Admiral Thrawn as a pay-off to the “Rebels” series finale. The new series, slated to premiere on Disney+ in 2023 will serve as a sequel to “Rebels.”
Rosario Dawson will reprise her role as Ahsoka and will be joined by Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine and Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, though in what capacity is unclear. Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Ivanna Sakhno are also playing as-yet-unknown roles, one of whom may be another key “Rebels” character confirmed for the show.
