Deadpool’s Director Stopped Filming Because Ryan Reynolds Made Him Cry

Director Tim Miller found himself overwhelmed with emotion while filming “Deadpool,” thanks to Ryan Reynolds' captivating performance, which took the character to new heights.
As Reynolds ad-libbed lines and brought the script to life, he described to the Hollywood Reporter how Miller couldn't help but break down and weep tears behind the scenes.
The actor explained to the outlet, “There will be a scene where I am punching everything and calling everyone a motherf***er, and then Tim calls cut, and he is just weeping.”
However, this emotional reaction didn't develop overnight. It was the culmination of years of development for Miller and Reynolds, who wanted to bring this character to the screen.
Since his appearance in Gavin Hood's "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," Reynolds had been attached to Deadpool, but the portrayal didn't sit well with fans due to dramatic alterations.
Reynolds wanted to make the film "properly," retaining the look and attitude of the original Marvel Comics. That was likely why Miller wept — he was happy to be doing it finally.
