Dave Filoni Kept A Big Secret From Star WARS Rebels’ Cast And Crew

While creating the finale for “Star Wars Rebels,” co-creator Dave Filoni strategically kept crucial details hidden from the cast and crew working on the series.
Speaking to IGN in 2018, Filoni explained that he had to be careful with the two-part finale, “Family Reunion and Farewell,” which takes place years after the series’ main events.
Filoni explained, “There were all kinds of secret things I had on the side that not even most of the crew knew about, which was the epilogue ending.”
He further explained that “A very small group of people worked on that, and I actually had to cut it down, lose some shots, just to get the whole thing to time.”
He added, “We just had to really land the airplane that was Rebels really well, and I think we did.” Without its success, the live-action Ahsoka show on Disney Plus wouldn't exist.
