Little is known about Coach Beard — save for his relationship with Jane and his opinions on classic rock guitarists — but fans will learn more by the end of “Ted Lasso” Season 3.

Coach Beard actor Brendan Hunt shared, “I do have a backstory [for Beard]... but I’m afraid I cannot share it with you. As that would be tiptoeing dangerously close to a spoiler.”

He continued, “You see, we see a few more things about Beard coming up in these last few episodes.” However, fans may not want to spend too much time with Coach Beard.

His previous outing in “Beard After Hours,” which was met with mixed reviews, was a fill-in episode written at the last minute after Apple TV+ decided to expand Season 2’s length.

With Season 3 already having various subplots, the show may not have time for a Beard story and to wrap up these dangling threads for “Ted Lasso” to have a satisfying conclusion.
