Christopher Nolan Snuck Into An Oppenheimer Screening And Came Out Surprised
By WITNEY SEIBOLD
A director can’t predict how the audience might respond to their work, so Christopher Nolan secretly snuck into an “Oppenheimer” screening to see the reactions for himself.
Nolan took his wife and three of his children to a sold out screening of “Oppenheimer” in New York City. He recounted his experience in an interview with Variety.
Nolan recalled the scene about halfway through the film when Oppenheimer and his team of scientists are about to detonate an atomic bomb for the first time.
Nolan shared about the detonation scene, “It was a remarkable experience to be there [...] Every seat was filled, and the focus on what was happening on-screen was so strong.”
