Christian Bale Would Return To The Role Of Batman On
One Condition

With sequels, remakes, and revivals being a huge trend in Hollywood, some movie fans wonder about a continuation of Christopher Nolan’s "Dark Knight" trilogy, starring Christian Bale as Batman. While Bale says no one has proposed a Batman film to him since 2012's "The Dark Knight Rises," he says he would put on the Batsuit again under one condition.
In an interview, Bale spoke about a "pact" he made with Christopher Nolan: "'Hey, look. Let's make three films, if we're lucky enough to get to do that. And then let's walk away. Let's not linger too long.'" However, Bale added that if Nolan ever "got another story to tell" about Batman and wanted Bale to star in it, the actor would readily agree.
Nolan, however, has shown no interest in adding to his Dark Knight Trilogy, so it looks like there's a slim-to-zero chance for audiences to see Bale portray an older Bruce Wayne. While fans can keep dreaming, they can also see Bale return to the superhero genre when Marvel's "Thor: Love and Thunder” opens on July 8th, 2022.
