Catherine Hicks Stood Up To William Shatner On The Set Of Star Trek IV

Catherine Hicks plays Dr. Gillian Taylor in “Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home,” and when speaking with StarTrek.com about the film, she mentioned how annoying William Shatner was.
According to Hicks, Shatner always wanted to be on camera, demanding more close-ups than his co-stars. He left Hicks with little screen time to herself.
Hicks complained to director Leonard Nimoy, saying, “I’d go to Leonard and say, ‘This is MY shot. I need a single. I'm not going to share the shot with Shatner.’”
