One of the highlights of the divisive 3rd Season of “Ted Lasso” is the Amsterdam episode, thanks in large part to writer-star Brendan Hunt and his personal experiences in the city.

The episode branches into different stories, with Hunt commenting, “The Amsterdam episode is meant to touch on a bunch of things that can happen to anyone in Amsterdam.”

Hunt shared a personal story about his time there: “One thing I did was I got a band together and I Aladdin Saned out and we performed the entire Ziggy Stardust album.”

This story made its way into the episode, as Coach Beard was shown to have joined a cover band, “Piggy Stardust,” with a group of non-English speaking locals.

Not all the credit goes to Hunt, as he revealed one of his co-stars helped: “At the last minute Jason [Sudeikis] goes, ‘And a pig nose.’ And I’m like, ‘And a pig nose. Alright!’”
