Black Adam Isn't the Champion Kahndaq Called For - They Wanted Another WWE Superstar
By BEN F. SILVERIO
Spoiler Warning!
This story contains spoilers for "Black Adam."
As DC's "Black Adam," Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson reprises his role as The People's Champion, except this time, instead of representing the WWE universe, he protects the ancient city of Kahndaq. However, judging by the citizens’ constant use of a certain hand symbol, it seems like they're calling for another WWE Superstar to save them.
Throughout the movie, the people of Kahndaq hold their hands up to form a diamond as a sign of solidarity against their oppressors. As wrestling fans know, that's the universal sign for the Diamond Cutter, Diamond Dallas Page's finishing maneuver. DDP was a three-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion and defender against the cancerous New World Order.
Like Johnson, DDP also has appeared in a few noteworthy films, including Rob Zombie's "The Devil's Rejects"; however, the biggest issue keeping him from serving the people of Kahndaq is that Marvel Comics published the WCW comic book. Diamond Dallas Page is the hero Kahndaq deserves; Black Adam is the one it needs right now.
