Barbarian Star Justin Long Reveals Four Of His Favorite Horror Movies
By DANIELLE RYAN
In an interesting interview, Justin Long from Zach Cregger’s "Barbarian" shared four of his favorite horror movies of all time, all of which are worth checking out. First on Long’s list was the 1970’s classic, "The Exorcist," a movie that made people faint in the theaters, all through its depiction of a young girl going through the throes
of demon possession.
Long's other 1970s pick was the 1978 version of "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" which stars Donald Sutherland and has one of the most iconic single frames in any horror movie where Sutherland screams in unholy cacophony because he's been taken over by the body snatchers. The actor’s third pick was the directorial debut of Rose Glass, "Saint Maud."
"Saint Maud" is a haunting psychological thriller about a young woman who may or may not be communicating directly with God. The final film Long recommended — which Long has watched in the theater three times himself — was Ari Aster's "Hereditary," starring Toni Collette as a struggling mother of two whose parental love is put to the ultimate test.
