Austin Butler Improvised One Of The Creepiest Moments In Dune: Part Two
By WITNEY SEIBOLD
Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune: Part Two” introduces a new villain to Arrakis: Feyd-Rautha, the sociopathic, aggressive nephew of Baron Vladimir Harkonnen.
While “Part Two” removes the Baron’s incestual lusting for his nephew, which was present in David Lynch’s adaptation, Feyd actor Austin Butler improvised a kiss with the Baron.
Access Hollywood asked Butler about his kiss with co-star Stellan Skarsgård. He responded, “[The kiss] with Stellan Skarsgård? Oh yeah! He’s game for anything. He’s the best.”
Looking closely at the scene, viewers can see that Skarsgård kissed Butler back, seemingly just rolling with his co-star’s improvisation.
When asked if he likes shocking his co-stars, Butler replied, “It’s always about how you’re trying to affect somebody else.”
