Spoiler Warning!
This story contains spoilers for “Spider-Man: No Way Home.”
It was great to see Tom Holland reprise his role in the MCU but being able to revisit Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's versions of our friendly, neighborhood superhero was a really special treat. In a recent interview, Garfield revealed the one moment of the film that really made him what to join “Spider-Man: No Way Home.”
Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy is almost saved by Spider-Man in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," but the whiplash from being stopped by Peter's web kills her. In "No Way Home" Garfield's Peter Parker is haunted by Gwen’s death and gets a second chance when MJ falls in much the same way, but this time Garfield’s Parker succeeds in saving her.
In an interview, Garfield explained what made him want to join the film stating, "I will say the image of my catching MJ — that was really beautiful and it kind of sold me on the whole thing." Being able to do for MJ what he couldn’t do for Gwen gives Garfield’s Parker a whole new lease on life.
