And Just Like That... Will Be More Joyful In Season 2

Season 1 of "And Just Like That..." starts on a somber note, and ends on a more hopeful look at the future for Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte. During a recent interview with Variety, HBO Max’s head of originals, Sarah Aubrey, notes that season 2 will be more joyous.
Aubrey said, "What you're seeing this season is all of these characters embracing life. It's a very joyful season and I think, in some ways, it feels like iconic 'Sex and the City' episodes." Unfortunately, it remains unlikely that Kim Cattrall will return, leaving Samantha fans to further lament the loss.
Aubrey also told Variety that fans can expect a more vivacious season for Carrie Bradshaw, reflective of some of her most memorable "Sex and the City" episodes. The second season is expected to arrive sometime in 2023.
