Ana De Armas Will Take Center Stage in John Wick Spin-Off Movie, Ballerina
Ana de Armas will star in the “John Wick” spin-off, “Ballerina,” as the young assassin who is seeking revenge against her family’s murderers. It will be directed by Len Wiseman of "Underworld" and "Live Free or Die Hard” fame, and written by Shay Hatten, who contributed to "Army of the Dead" and "John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum,” in which the ballerina is first referenced.
In "John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum,” the ballerina is played by New York City Ballet principal dancer and actress Unity Phelan and is shown at an academy run by Anjelica Huston's The Director. As of writing, there is no confirmation if they will appear in the “Ballerina” spin-off and it is still too early in pre-production for a possible release date.
Ana de Armas is one of the hottest rising stars in Hollywood and most likely won the role from her status as an action star due to roles in "Blade Runner 2049” and the latest James Bond film, “No Time to Die.” Her Russo Brothers’ action film, “The Gray Man,” is in post-production at Netflix, and she will star as Marilyn Monroe in the “Blonde” biopic.
