An Indiana Jones TV Series Is In The Works At Disney+
By VALERIE ETTENHOFER
According to Variety, Disney and Lucasfilm have potential plans to develop an "Indiana Jones" TV show “set in the world of the globe trotting archaeologist.” The project is in its early development stages, with no information readily available about its plot, cast, or crew.
It’s unclear whether this show will be a spin-off, sequel, or prequel, but it’s unlikely that Harrison Ford will star. In a 2019 interview with "The Today Show," Ford answered a question about who could play the hero next by saying, "Nobody is gonna be Indiana Jones. Don't you get it? I'm Indiana Jones. When I'm gone, he's gone."
Ford plays Indiana Jones one more time in 2023's untitled film, where audiences will meet his goddaughter, Helena, who, according to the film’s composer John Williams, is both "an adventuress" and "a femme fatale.” The film’s footage screened at D23 Expo didn’t offer hints about what a Disney+ show may entail, however.
