Aidan Gillen Has Some Unpopular Opinions About Game Of Thrones' Final Season
By JEREMY MATHAI
Many fans of HBO’s “Game of Thrones” were quick to share their negative opinions about the series’ final season on platforms such as Twitter, with some giving unnecessarily spiteful criticism. The cast and crew of the show have done their best dealing with the backlash since the series finale, but “Littlefinger” actor Aidan Gillen shared a view on the final season that some would consider unpopular.
Gillen expressed his frustration with the fans’ quick shift against the show and their comments during a Q&A, saying, “For people to turn on the writers of something that people had adored for seven seasons in such a nasty fashion, as they did, I was just taken aback.” The actor was referring to the negative comments on social media directed at the show's creators and crew.
Gillen also shared his assessment of the final season, saying, “I thought that some of the best scenes, the best sequences, of 'Game of Thrones' were in the last season. I don't have any doubt about that.” However, the actor wasn’t without some criticism for the finale and shared that he wished it ended 20 minutes earlier with a final scene of the dragon flying away with Daenerys.
