Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D’s Breaking Bad Moment Was Totally Improvised
By SANDY SCHAEFER
Upon returning for season 2, the Marvel Television series "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." had gained a newfound confidence and its characters began to take on greater dimensions.
That sense of surety extended to the series' cast. More comfortable in their roles and willingness to ad-lib, Iain De Caestecker improvised in the season finale, "S.O.S. Part 2."
When S.H.I.E.L.D. agents trap their enemy Gordon (Jamie Harris), Fitz informs a gobsmacked Gordon that he has, in fact, been cornered through the magic of "Science, biatch."
Fitz tries to channel Jesse Pinkman’s iconic catchphrase from "Breaking Bad." The fact that he doesn't quite pull it off is on-brand for the S.H.I.E.L.D. team's lovable dork.
