A Controversial Doctor Who Legend Is Officially Returning To The Show

With Julie-Anne Robinson directing and Russell T Davies as head writer, Steven Moffat is penning an episode for Ncuti Gatwa's Fifteenth Doctor in "Doctor Who" season 14,
Moffat put it in his statement: "Yes, okay, fair enough — apologies to everyone I've very slightly misled — I am in fact writing an episode of the series of 'Doctor Who.'”
When Steven Moffat wrote for “Doctor Who” with Davies as head writer, his episodes were narratively tight and struck the right mix of terror, whimsy, and pathos.
However, when Moffat took over as head writer, his mystery box plotlines fizzled out and the show struggled to balance different tones like his individual episodes did.
Fans felt some of Moffat’s storytelling came off as misogynistic. They hold hope, however, as he is writing one episode with Davies at the helm.
