A Christmas Story Christmas Teaser: Oh, Fudge! Ralphie Returns In HBO Max's Sequel
By ETHAN ANDERTON
If "8-Bit Christmas" didn't tickle your nostalgic holiday bone last year, HBO Max is going to try again with a more direct approach. In November, the streaming service is bringing a sequel to the beloved 1983 holiday classic "A Christmas Story," complete with a redundant title and the return of the film's original cast members.
The first teaser for "A Christmas Story Christmas" has just arrived online, and while it only gives us a sneak peek of what's to come, it's leaning heavily on how beloved the original movie has become over the years. The sequel will bring back Peter Billingsley as the air rifle-loving Ralphie, but he's all grown up and taking his family back to his childhood home to "deliver his kids a magical Christmas like the one he had growing up."
Ralphie will also be reconnecting with childhood friends, Flick and Schwartz, who will again be played by Scott Schwartz and R.D. Robb respectively, and his childhood bully Scut Farkus, with Zack Ward, also reprising his role. "A Christmas Story Christmas" arrives on HBO Max starting on November 17, 2022.
