A Cheers Icon Terrified Jack Cutmore-Scott At His Frasier Audition
By VALERIE ETTENHOFER
On "The Talk," Jack Cutmore-Scott spoke about his audition for Fraiser's son in the "Fraiser" revival, noting that the presence of two TV legends made it especially nerve-wracking.
He ended up face-to-face with Kelsey Grammer for a live audition, noting, "It was deeply intimidating [...] acting opposite Kelsey, but also Jimmy Burrows was in the room."
"He's everything, so just to have him silently judging you is one of the more intimidating..." the actor said, adding that the audition was "definitely terrifying."
However, Cutmore-Scott showed them something worth watching: he was asked back for yet another audition afterward, telling "The Talk" that "they hadn't had enough."
In his own "The Talk" interview, Grammer explained that "four or five" actors made it to callbacks for the part, and Cutmore-Scott was "the only one that was actually funny."
