A Cartoon Network Parody Brought The Weirdest Dune Book To TV

While Frank Herbert's "Dune" is a science-fiction masterpiece, the other books in the series take the story in a strange direction.
The book “God Emperor of Dune” sees Leto II, Paul’s son, transforming into a human-sandworm hybrid that could live and rule for thousands of years.
There already has been one sort of adaptation of “God Emperor of Dune" — a reference found in the 2000s cartoon "The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy."
In the Season 2 episode “Mandy the Merciless,” Mandy gets a vision of a future in which she learns the secret of immortality by transforming into a giant worm hybrid.
The worm-hybrid isn’t the only reference to “God Emperor of Dune." Mandy has clones of Billy, similar to Leto II’s clones of Duncan Idaho.
