"Fire Force" follows a group of firefighters with supernatural pyrokinetic powers who fight creatures called infernals. However, they soon discover a grand conspiracy.
Protagonist Kusakabe shares much in common with Midoriya from "My Hero Academia" as both are underdogs. Additionally, both series feature epic fights between heroes and villains.
Both series have a hero who overcomes their physical setbacks in pursuit of their goals. "Haikyu!!" may not be as high-stakes, but it has the same amount of emotional investment.
Like Midoriya, Tanjiro will stop at nothing to achieve his goal and save as many people as possible. The series is filled with gorgeous animation that brings the battles to life.
After becoming possessed by a demon, Yuji Itadori is taken to the Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School to train to be a jujutsu to help kill the creature inside him.
"Jujutsu Kaisen" is a much darker take on the heroes-in-training anime genre, but it still captures the elements, such as engaging spectacles, that make "My Hero" so endearing.
