The Force Awakens LEGO sets

Images of some new Star Wars LEGO sets coming in 2016 have surfaced online:

The sets, in the order in which they appear, are Rebel Battle Pack (75133), Empire Battle Pack (75135), Obi Wan’s Jedi Starfighter (75137), Carbon Freezing Chamber (75138), Hoth Attack (75140), Kanan’s Speeder Bike (75142) and Homing Spider Droid (75142). That final LEGO set is unnamed, but if you look carefully, it looks like we can see a Resistance pilot and Princess Leia from The Force Awakens, which means that’s a new ship we haven’t seen yet. Sky Movies and Now TV just struck a new multi-year deal with Disney that will get films like Inside Out and Star Wars: The Force Awakens onto their VOD service before they’re availably on Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. So after The Force Awakens hits theaters, in the U.K., Sky will be one of the first places you’ll be able to watch it from the comfort of your home. [Engadget]

There are some people in the industry who have seen a cut of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and the early, unofficial buzz is that the movie is rather good. This is all word of mouth from friends of friends who work in show business, so that’s not much to go on, but it’s encouraging at least. []

Star Wars Battlefront

Star Wars Battlefront just put out a Beta release that over 9 million players downloaded and played over the past five days, and now Electronic Arts has announced a Season Pass in order to get all the upcoming DLC that will give players new maps and weapons for the game. It’ll cost you $50 to make sure you get all the DLC that will become available, which is almost the cost of a whole new game. The DLC will be “filled with new content that will take you to new locations across a galaxy far, far away.” [Forbes]

We already know that Sarah Michelle Gellar is voicing the Seventh Sister in Star Wars Rebels, one of the new Inquisitors coming into the fray in the forthcoming second season. And now we have word that Philip Anthony-Rodriguez will be voicing the Fifth Brother of the villainous group. The actor, who can be heard in games like Halo Reach and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, announced the casting on his Twitter. [StarWarsUnderworld]
