LOL: Cookie Monster Is John Hammond In Sesame Street 'Jurassic Park' Spoof

With the release of Jurassic World just a few days away, there's plenty of retrospective looks back at the entire Jurassic Park franchise around the web. Some of them are pretty scathing, like Everything Wrong with The Lost World: Jurassic Park, while others are just adorable and fun, like the Sesame Street spoof of Jurassic Park that debuted this week.

Here's Jurassic Cookie straight from Sesame Street:

In the spoof, which marks another Crumby Pictures, Cookie Monster takes the role of John Hammond, who finds pieces of cookie stuck inside a zillion-year old rock, then turns them into bigger cookies for a super-duper theme park. The result is a pretty tasty Tyrannosaurus rex, but one that might end up eating Cookie Monster.

Of course, since this is Cookie Monster we're talking about, he doesn't stay on the run from the giant prehistoric cookie for long. Because once he realizes it's a gingerbread T-Rex, all bets are off. In a way, it's kind of morbid since Cookie Monster would be eating this living cookie that he created, but kids don't think about that kind of stuff, right?

These parodies from Sesame Street are so fun. This one is especially enjoyable for anyone who loves Jurassic Park because there are some great references to iconic shots from the original dinosaur adventure. From the T-Rex in the rearview mirror of the Jeep Wrangler to the rampage through the visitor center lobby. And there's also a fantastic recreation of the scene with the velociraptors in the kitchen, but replaced with the gingerbread T-Rex instead.

It's cool that the adults who make Sesame Street are creating little sketches like this that parents at home with their kids can enjoy too. Check out previous movie parodies from Sesame Street for The Avengers: Age of Ultron (with vegetables), Game of Thrones  (with a counting lesson) and even Birdman, with Big Bird obviously.
