VOTD: Kenny Loggins Does Theme Songs To 'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo' 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn,' 'The Hunger Games,' 'Real Steel' And More

In the 1980s, Kenny Loggins was the king of the movie soundtrack. The soft rocker did the theme songs to Top Gun (Danger Zone), Caddyshack (I'm Alright), Footloose (Footloose) and more over a few short years in addition to being a very successful solo and group artist. To this day, those songs both help and hinder the career of Loggins and in a two new Funny or Die videos, he embraces their legacy.

After the jump, watch Loggins and his new band Blue Sky Riders performing theme songs to The Help, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Real Steel, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1, The Hunger Games and two for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. With a little help from Paul Scheer of course.

Thanks to Funny or Die for these videos. In this first video you'll see The Help, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

The second video has Real Steel, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1, The Hunger Games and another for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.

I think my favorite of all of them is the final Dragon Tattoo song. It's so perfect.

Loggins is more than likely sick of the songs that made him so famous but I applaud him for letting the Funny or Die people poke a little fun at them. The whole thing is just an elaborate marketing scam for the new Footloose but, still, I prefer this kind of marketing to short clips and posters. I might actually go see the film now if they're targeting people who'd find this funny. I certainly did.
