Christian Bale As John Connor In McG's Terminator 4?

Last week we told you that McG has supposedly signed on to direct Terminator 4. Today Ain'tItCool is reporting a rumor that Christian Bale has been cast as John Connor in Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins. What are the chances of this being true? I've been a long supporter of McG. With a good producer to wrangle him in, he can make a fun movie, I'm sure of that. If this is true, Bale would immediately gives the project more credibility in the fanboy circles.
