Timeless series finale

Rejoice, Timeless fans. After the show was cancelled (for a second time), many worried there would be no closure for the time-traveling TV series. But NBC has decided to throw Timeless one last bone, giving the go-ahead to a two-part series finale. The Timeless series finale will arrive in time for the holiday season.

The Office Reunion - John Krasinski

It’s been five years since NBC’s hit comedy The Office came to an end, turning the mockumentary cameras away from the employees of Dunder-Mifflin. However, fans are wondering exactly what the people person’s paper people are up to now, and so is series star John Krasinski.

In a recent interview, Krasinski was asked about the prospect of appearing in a The Office reunion, should one ever come together, and the actor is 100% down to be part of something like that. In fact, he’s just as curious as fans of the show are when it comes to finding out what happened to Jim Halpert. Read More »

Brooklyn Nine-Nine Comic-Con

Sometimes, you attend a San Diego Comic-Con panel that reminds you that all of the hassle, all of the line-waiting, all of the sunburns from the sneaky southern California sun is worth it. This year, that panel was dedicated to Brooklyn Nine-Nine, the hilarious, sweet, quietly important cop comedy that was briefly cancelled by Fox earlier this year before being rescued by NBC.

The air in the room was electric and every seat was filled. The atmosphere could best be compared to a rock concert and my ears were literally ringing by the time the cast and crew took their seats. To be surrounded by thousands of people who feel the same passion you do (that Brooklyn Nine-Nine is one of the best shows on television and that everyone involved in its creation is a national treasure) is a powerful feeling.

Here’s what you need to know about the panel.

NBC has cancelled Timeless. Again. The network had already cancelled the show once, but fan outcry resulted in a reversal. Sadly, the time has run out once again. The network has pulled the plug for what is likely the final time. But all may not be lost: a Timeless movie could be on the horizon.

Chirs Hardwick Allegations

Update: The Wrap reports that Chris Hardwick will not moderate the Warner Bros. panel at Comic-Con this year. He previously moderated the studio’s Hall H presentation in 2017 and 2014.

Just before the weekend, comedian and television personality Chris Hardwick had some serious allegations tossed his way when ex-girlfriend Chloe Dykstra penned a detailed and disturbing essay laying out his pattern of emotional and sexual abuse throughout their three-year relationship. For his part, Chris Hardwick denied these allegations in an official statement, but that hasn’t stopped AMC from taking action while they “assess the situation.”

AMC has pulled the second season of Talking with Chris Hardwick, which is hosted and produced by the comedian, from their schedule. Furthermore, the network says the comedian and host is stepping down from moderating panels for both AMC and BBC America at San Diego Comic-Con next month. Read More »

reverie review

When I first heard about NBC’s Reverie, it was described to me as a sci-fi show, but the new thriller from Extant creator Mickey Fisher leans more towards a procedural drama than I expected. Not that there’s anything wrong with a procedural drama (it’s one of the things NBC is exceedingly good at) but it took some adjusting of expectations to get into the swing of the first episode.

Reverie’s title comes from the name of a dream program made by a company named Onira Tech. The Reverie program gives users the ability to go into a dream of their own making. Think Total Recall, but instead of going to Mars you can go to your favorite memory, visit a time you were most happy, even bring someone back from the dead and spend time with them in whatever setting or time you choose.

Tina Fey Hosted Saturday Night Live

This weekend brought the 43rd season of Saturday Night Live to a close with beloved cast member Tina Fey returning to host the finale. Whenever a cast member comes back as host for the season finale, then we’re usually in store for a ton of cameos from former cast members coming to play around on the show. But last night’s finale brought so much more than that.

When Tina Fey hosted Saturday Night Live last night, she brought quite the array of celebrity cameos, making for one of the most star-studded monologues I’ve seen in awhile. It wasn’t just former cast members coming back either, but there were a handful of big name stars appearing out of nowhere. And the monologue wasn’t the only place where cameos happened in this solid but not great season finale. Read More »

will smith fresh prince of bel air

You know all about how the fictional Will Smith’s life got flipped, turned upside down in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air but it’s easy to forget that real-life Hollywood superstar Will Smith’s life took just as dramatic a turn. Before he became one of the biggest sitcom stars of the ’90s — and shortly after, one of the biggest stars in Hollywood —Will Smith was just one-half of a rap duo who had the biggest flop of their short-lived career. Broke, humiliated, and in trouble with the IRS, Smith didn’t even consider getting into acting. Until he met the real-life Prince of Bel-Air.
