Star Wars: The Clone Wars season seven is bringing back Ahsoka Tano (Ashley Eckstein), who left behind her master Anakin Skywalker and the rest of the Jedi Council to venture out on her own. The full trailer shows where she finds some new friends, but it also dives even further into the titular war, showing familiar Jedi in battle, the Clone Troopers by their side, and a villain that fans will be excited to see all over again. Jon Favreau is becoming known as a director who loves testing the boundaries of cutting-edge technology and using that to further the limits of filmmaking. But sometimes, even he loves to go old-school. The writer, creator, and showrunner of The Mandalorian revealed that the effects used to shoot the ship of the titular bounty hunter, called the Razorcrest, will be entirely practical.
Inspired by the use of models to shoot the ships of the original Star Wars trilogy, Favreau and fellow executive producer Dave Filoni (Clone Wars) elaborated at Star Wars Celebration in Chicago on how they teamed up with Industrial Light & Magic to pay homage to the original Star Wars movies by shooting with old-fashioned models and rigs.

Star Wars Celebration celebrates everything about Star Wars from the films to the books to the droid builders and beyond. Timothy Zahn is a beloved author in the Star Wars universe. The Chicago native has authored 13 books, including this summer’s Thrawn: Treason.
Bria LaVorgna, a writer for StarWars.com, moderated the panel with the beloved Star Wars author. Zahn has signed two previous non-disclosure agreements and said that breaking them would result in giving up both the first born and dominant kidney. So far the video game offerings in the Star Wars universe since Disney bought Lucasfilm have left a lot to be desired. While Star Wars Battlefront was fun for a little while, there’s no real depth to the game and it’s distinctly missing what makes an adventure in a galaxy far, far away so exciting. Hopefully Electronic Arts can change that with a new Jedi fantasy adventure game.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is about a Jedi padawan trying to survive after Order 66 resulted in almost all the Jedi in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. As the creators of the game touted during the Star Wars Celebration, this is entirely a Jedi story. There’s no multiplayer and no micro-transactions. But there is a Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order trailer that shows off our first glimpse at the video game, including the new lead Jedi character, an intimidating new Inquisitor, a cute new droid, an intriguing new lightsaber, and more.
Watch the trailer below, and keep reading for some other details revealed during the game’s Star Wars Celebration panel. Read More »
