Obi-Wan Kenobi Episode 4 Reveals The Tragic Fate Of A Clone Wars Character
The "Obi-Wan Kenobi" show, better known as the Princess Leia Power Hour, has been a heartbreaking bridge between the prequel and original trilogies. As cool as it is seeing Ewan McGregor back in "Star Wars," so far it's been a rather miserable time for the old Jedi Master.
Indeed, more than a nostalgia fest with a parade of cool cameos, any connection we've had to the prequels or the animated shows like "Star Wars: Rebels" and "The Clone Wars" has been a source of emotional damage. From Obi-Wan and Anakin's first meeting post Mustafar, to the sight of a homeless clone veteran, to the flashback of the younglings witnessing Order 66. The latest episode also includes the devastating fate of one of the coolest characters from "The Clone Wars."

Tomb of horrors
In episode 4 we follow everyone's favorite Old Man Jedi as he becomes the second Jedi in just five years to infiltrate the Inquisitor HQ on the Mustafar system — but not the fire planet, the water one — to rescue Leia. But before he can get to her, he discovers a secret vault. Inside, he sees the petrified corpses of enemies of the Empire.
The terrifying tomb contains all kinds of Jedi in a sick sort of museum exhibit, from unrecognizable knights, to a youngling in training gear, to an old man in Jedi robes. Though not familiar to those who have only seen the movies, fans of "The Clone Wars" might recognize the old Master as none other than Tera Sinube, a total badass and friend to Ahsoka Tano.
A hard boiled Jedi
We first met Master Sinube in the season 2 episode "Lightsaber Lost," where he helps a young Ahsoka track down her, well, lost lightsaber. He is essentially a hard boiled Jedi private eye with an expertise on the criminal underworld of Coruscant. If "Attack of the Clones" was "Star Wars" doing hints of a neo-noir tale, then Sinube was the franchise properly doing an aged "Maltese Falcon." And rather than a gun and a fedora, Sinube had one of the coolest lightsabers in the franchise — with a hilt that doubled as a cane, like Lucius Malfoy's wand.
He even served a key role in helping Ahsoka's case when she is charged with treason at the end of season 5. And if that wasn't enough, new comics and books have shined a light on Sinube's past, which includes serving during the time of the High Republic as a knight, and then becoming a master to a number of known Jedi, including Sifo-Dyas and even Count Dooku.
We've seen countless Jedi meet their demise throughout the years, but such an unceremonious death hits particularly hard.
