VOTD: Filmmaker Deathmatch – Kubrick vs. Scorsese, Tarantino vs. The Coen Brothers
Posted on Friday, June 11th, 2010 by Peter Sciretta

It all started when Leandro Copperfield decided to watch all the movies of his two favorite filmmakers over a ten day period. Copperfield edited together a seven and a half minute video mash-up of the films of Quentin Tarantino and the Coen Brothers. The finished video features clips from more than 500 scenes, cut to five different songs. We never featured this video on /Film, and judging by the video stats, only 1,200 people have ever seen it… until now.
But it doesn’t stop there, Copperfield returned to create a new filmmaker duel, featuring two more of his favorite directors: Stanley Kubrick and Martin Scorsese. He watched 34 films in 25 days, and edited more than 500 scenes into this one seven and a ahlf minute video.
Both videos are now available for your viewing pleasure, embedded after the jump.
