Cinema Expo International 2009 is being held in Amsterdam this week and Film1 has snapped a bunch of photos of some of the promotional posters on display on the show floor. Let me give you full disclosure: these posters are usually just marketing mockups, and some of the time the eventual public teaser posters look completely different. That said, the style is sometimes dead on, so don’t be surprised if you see something like these one-sheets in your local multiplex soon. After the jump I’ve included the promo posters for Jason Reitman’s Up in the Air, M Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender, Martin Scorsese’s Shutter Island and Jon Favreau’s Iron Man 2.
The Last Airbender’s Harry Potter-ish logo was on display in the teaser trailer that hit last night, and the Shutter Island artwork is like the billboards that were on display at Cannes. The promo poster for Iron Man 2 is nothing more than the film’s title. And I have a feeling that the movie won’t be just called “Iron Man 2″ by the time a real one-sheet is released. Numbered sequel titles aren’t as popular these days. The film is due to hit theaters on May 7th 2010. Maybe we’ll get our first real teaser poster at Comic Con in July. Head on over to Film1 to see these posters, and more, in high resolution.
