'Thor': First Clip, And A Cameo Confirmed And Detailed

Hot on the heels of Thor footage being shown at CinemaCon, Marvel Studios and Paramount have released the first clip from the film. It's a minute-long scene that takes place immediately after Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is found on Earth by Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), Darcy (Kat Dennings) and their professor (Stellan Skarsgard). Some of this has been seen in trailers, so even if you're trying not to see too much of the film, this clip isn't terribly spoilerish.

What is quite spoilerish is the other half of this article, which concerns a character that makes a small appearance in the film. We've got details from CinemaCon, after the break.

Here's the clip, which has a lot of gruff yelling at the sky on Thor's part, and positions Kat Dennings as the film's primary comic relief. Don't read anything that follows if you're not interested in cameo spoilers.

Now for the cameo. Peter avoided talking about it when he wrote up the CinemaCon presentation the other day, but we'll give you the chance to know or not, as you wish. Part of the footage shown at the con included Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, who will have a much bigger role in The Avengers. CinemaBlend covered the appearance, which sounds like it is more than a blip in the film:

The scene we saw featured Renner as Hawkeye, working with the infamous Agent Coulson, played as he was in the Iron Man movies, by Clark Gregg. The scene features Hawkeye using his famous bow and arrow and he has multiple lines, so while we're talking about something a little more than a momentary cameo, there's no way to know if his involvement will go any further than that one scene.
