The Toy Box: The Force Awakens, Ghostbusters, Fantastic Beasts, Power Rangers, TMNT & More
The Toy Box is a weekly feature at /Film that will round up some of the newest and coolest collectibles, decorations, gadgets and other memorabilia that you nerds might want for your shelves.
In this edition of The Toy Box, there's quite a bit of new stuff coming to San Diego Comic-Con. The good news is that some of those items will be available for sale after the convention after first being sold at Comic-Con. There's plenty of new Star Wars figures, a couple new Ghostbusters items, goodies for fans of Transformers, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, Warcraft, Breaking Bad and much more.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: DreamEx's 1/6 Scale Shredder Figure
After unveiling their new Casey Jones 1/6 scale figure, DreamEX has another Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figure, this time on the villain side of things. The nemesis Shredder gets his own figure with two head sculpts (with or without face mask), a removable helmet, sword, interchangeable hands, mutagen container, throwing stars and a communicator. Supposedly the sword and throwing stars are metal as well, so that's pretty cool. Sadly, no pricing or release date is available yet, but stay tuned to Lunar Toy Store for more.
Star Wars: Gentle Giant's Ralph McQuarrie Chewbacca Concept Bust
Ralph McQuarrie's original concept art for Star Wars is legendary, and every now and then some cool collectibles are created to pay tribute to his iconic drawings of characters, vehicles and more. Gentle Giant is the latest to bring Ralph McQuarrie's art to life with a Chewbacca mini bust. Priced at $120, there were only 400 pieces available for sale, and they've since sold out. But maybe you can get ahold of one on eBay or something like that.
LootCrate: Loot4Fangirls Subscription Service
While LootCrate subscriptions have been for collector's of all ages, there hasn't been much explicitly created for female fans out there. But LootCrate is changing that with their new Loot4Fangrils subscription service created in conjunction with Her Universe.
The first box in this service will feature characters from Marvel, DC Entertainment, Star Trek and The Walking Dead with five items included. These items include something from Espionage Cosmetics, an exclusive dress from Her Universe, an action figure and some kind of "killer accessory." Specifics will be announced at San Diego Comic-Con later this month, and fans will be able to purchase Loot4Fangirls starting July 18 with some on sale at the LootCrate booth at Comic-Con as well. Warcraft: Gentle Giant Durotan Mini Bust
Joining their batch of San Diego Comic-Con exclusive releases, Gentle Giant has a mini bust of the lead orc Durotan from the feature film adaptation of Warcraft. Priced at $80, there will only be 300 pieces of this 7-inch bust available for purchase at Comic-Con. Or if you're a Premier Guild Member, you can pre-order the bust right now.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them: Funko's Newt Scamander POP Vinyl Figure
While there's bound to be plenty of merchandise surrounding the expanding of the Harry Potter universe with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, there will only be one figure available at Comic-Con this summer, and it's coming from Funko. As part of their POP Vinyl line, the titular book's author Newt Scamander will get his own figure, holding his wand and magical briefcase and wearing a Hufflepuff scarf. Star Wars: Black Series 2016 SDCC Exclusive Astromech Droid 3-Pack
If you're the kind of Star Wars collector who keeps droids on your shelves, then you'll want to get your hands on this Astromech Droid 3-Pack as part of the Black Series collection. The set features three of the droids from the Battle of Yavin in Star Wars: A New Hope, all with multiple points of articulation and detail as only the Black Series can offer. It's a Toys R Us exclusive that will be available at Comic-Con and at the store's website during the convention as well, but no price is available yet.
Ghostbusters: Diamond Select Marshmallow Covered Ray Stantz
Diamond Select is bringing an exclusive version of their Ray Stantz action figure covered in marshmallow fluff after the destruction of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. The 7-inch action figure has 16 points of articulation, plenty of Ghostbusters gear, and a display base. It'll be available at Comic-Con and on the Toys R Us website during the convention. No pricing is available yet, but check the Toys R Us website during the convention to get your hands on this item.
Transformers: Masterpiece Bumblebee with Spike
For those who are fans of the original design for Bumblebee, a fantastic new Transformers figure set is coming to San Diego Comic-Con thanks to Toys R Us. The Masterpiece edition of Bumblebee is inspired by the 1986 animated movie, giving the Autobot his G1 Volkswagen Beetle form, and he also comes with an Exosuit Spike Witwicky. No pricing is available yet, but check the Toys R Us website during the convention to get your hands on this item.
Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers: Bandai's Legacy Communicator
Continuing the expanding Legacy collection of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, Bandai has the Power Rangers Communicator coming to San Diego Comic-Con this month. The detailed communicator has diecast metal parts, lights and sounds from the original Power Rangers series. The Communicator comes with interchangeable colored bands so fans can be any of the five original rangers.
Star Wars: SDCC and Star Wars Celebration Black Series Exclusive Figures
If you're hitting up two of the big conventions on opposite sides of the world this month, then Entertainment Weekly has word on two outstanding new Star Wars figures in the Black Series line that you'll want to get your hands on.
First, there will be an exclusive Kylo Ren with removable helmet and melted Darth Vader helmet available at Star Wars Celebration London starting on July 15. Forbidden Planet will have the figure for sale for $34.99.
Second, San Diego Comic-Con will have an exclusive Obi-Wan Kenobi figure at the Hasbro Toy Shop with Anakin Skywalker's lightsaber handle, his own lightsaber, mini Princess Leia hologram and a table for it to stand on. The figure will be sold for $44.99 at the Hasbro Toy Shop booth starting on July 21st.
Breaking Bad: Sideshow Collectibles Life Size Walter White Bust
Keeping a life size bust of Bryan Cranston in your home might seem a little creepy, but for the big Breaking Bad fans out there, that may not be the case. Sideshow Collectibles has a bust available for a salty price featuring actual foldable glasses, a custom tailored shirt, glass eyes, and faux facial hair and eyebrows. It's hand-finished, hand-painted and extremely detailed, and you can for pre-order to add to your shelf for just $1,399.99.
Child's Play: Blu-Ray with Exclusive Good Guy Chucky Figure
Scream Factory has a new Blu-Ray release of the horror favorite Child's Play, and it comes with an exclusive NECA action figure of the Good Guy Chucky doll who ends up becoming a murderous toy. The figure is 5.5 inches tall with a new sculpt made especially for this set. The set will also include an 18x24 poster with art from Justin Osbourn, a slipcover for the movie featuring the same artwork, as well as a second slipcover featuring Good Guys Doll artwork, which will also come in a second 18x24 poster.
The set is available for pre-order right now for $59.99 and releases on October 18.
Storm Collectibles Bruce Lee "The Martial Artist" 1/12 Scale Premium Figure
There just aren't enough Bruce Lee figures out there for collector's but Storm Collectibles will be bringing one more to the table with this 1/12 scale premium figure. There aren't any price details just yet, but the figure comes with fabric pants, swappable head sculpts (one with facial hair) and more. The figure will be sold at the Bluefin booth during San Diego Comic-Con, so be sure to head over there for more. In the meantime, check out more photos over at Storm Collectibles.
Star Wars: Sideshow Collectibles' Bossk 1/6 Scale Figure
Known as Boba Fett's mentor in the expanded universe, the bounty hunter Bossk gets his own 1/6 scale figure from Sideshow Collectibles. This is actually an updated version of the figure that was originally released in 2012, but this one has a movie accurate head sculpt for the 12-inch tall figure that comes with interchangeable hands, a micro grenade launcher and figure base. The figure will cost $210 and pre-orders are available right now.
Ghostbusters: Funko POP Vinyl Gatekeeper, Zuul and Key Master
The Ghostbusters Funko POP Vinyl line has been available for some time, but a couple key characters have been missing from the line-up. That changes with a new Wal-Mart exclusive 3-pack that includes The Gatekeeper, Zuul and The Key Master. The two figures of Sigourney Weaver and Rick Moranis are the standard 3.75 inches tall while Zuul is about 5 inches tall. If you can't find it at your local Wal-Mart, you can buy it online right now for $29.98.
