Has your jaw come up from the floor yet?

There is so much to say about this trailer. I love the poignancy of it. The subtle calm and how Bane's terror is reigning on a quiet city seemingly helpless from his actions. I mean, Batman doesn't show up until almost half the trailer is completely over. How insane is that?

Once he does show up though, wow. Seeing him briefly fight alongside Catwoman is pretty beautiful and the new gadgets such as The Bat look great. Not to mention that final line of "This isn't a car." It gave me chills. With this trailer we can finally see how many of these story elements fall into place. Also, is it me, or does Batman's quote of "Not everything, not yet" make it sound like he's ready to die? Just so much cool stuff here.

And the voices! Bane's is much clearer here than he was in the IMAX scene. Batman's voice too has been toned down from the deep, dank, scratchy one that was made fun of so often in The Dark Knight. Christopher Nolan may not have an email address, but he addresses fan concerns for sure.

So, what do you all think?

The Dark Knight Rises stars Christian Bale, Gary Oldman?, Michael Caine?, Morgan Freeman?, Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anne Hathaway, Marion Cotillard? and opens July 20. Like you didn't know. Catch this trailer on the big screen Friday with The Avengers.

Finally, hat tip to The Daily Blam for first posting the trailer.
