Tom Ellis Cast as ‘Lucifer’ in Fox Series

Lucifer series lead

Fox has a new DC Comics-based series in development, but it’s something very different from the Batman origin story Gotham. Lucifer is based, perhaps loosely, upon the vision of the fallen angel originally seen in Neil Gaiman’s Sandman series, and will follow the Morningstar to Los Angeles, where he helps cops solve crimes. (Seriously.) Now Tom Ellis (Rush) is the Lucifer series lead, and will head to LA for the Fox series. Read More »

Jason Momoa Aquaman header

Last week’s late-night reveal of Jason Momoa as Aquaman was a shock to many people, including the actor himself. In a new interview, the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice co-star admits that he didn’t think director Zack Snyder was going to reveal his in-costume photo so soon and didn’t find out until right before it went up.

Momoa also discussed his excitement at playing the role and danced around questions about when we’d actually see the character, how much he’s shot, and if he’d already been teased in Man of Steel. Read the latest Jason Momoa Aquaman quotes below. Read More »

Chris Hemsworth Avengers 2 Interview

On June 12th 2014, I visited the London set of Avengers: Age of Ultron. In October, we posted our on set interviews with Mark RuffaloRobert Downey Jr. and director Joss WhedonToday we’ve been given the green light to publish our interview with another Avenger: Thor himself, Chris Hemsworth. Here is a short snippet from Hemsworth explaining how the stakes in this film are more dire:

I think [Thor] openly admits, “I don’t think we’re going to win this one.” The threat is so great that I think all of them are sort of scratching their heads going, “Is this it?” rather than, “Okay, we have to kill this many things.” It’s just an onslaught and it doesn’t stop. It’s sort of an open sort of floodgate and what it could also set in motion is an even bigger threat. I think that’s what’s Thor’s kind of stuck on or where his is attention certainly is, an even bigger picture of Thor being from Asgard. He can just say, “Hang on, there’s a whole universe here which is signaling something else.”

Robin Hood (Disney)

It’s been five whole years since we had a big feature film about Robin Hood, so at present there are multiple parties trying to bring us the next one. The latest to join the fray is Joby Harold, the guy behind Guy Ritchie’s upcoming King Arthur franchise.

Titled Robin Hood: Origins, Harold’s script will be (say it with me now) a gritty reinvention of the classic character. Leonardo DiCaprio‘s Appian Way is producing.  Read More »
