How much bigger can X-Men: Days of Future Past cast possibly get? As the film approaches its spring start, Bryan Singer is scrambling to add still more characters to the already sprawling lineup. Not that we’re complaining.

The latest original trilogy actor set to return is Daniel Cudmore, who played Peter Rasputin a.k.a. Colossus in X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand. Meanwhile, it looks like Chinese actress Fan Bingbing and Twilight actor Booboo Stewart will get in on the superpowered fun as well. Hit the jump to read more.

Here’s one more to add to the growing pile of returning original trilogy stars for X-Men: Days of Future Past. As has long been rumored, Alan Cumming will reprise his role as the Kurt Wagner, who in the Munich circus was known as the Incredible Nightcrawler. Fox has been sitting on some juicy Marvel properties for years, but it wasn’t until the success of Marvel Studios’ The Avengers that they finally started trying to build their own Marvel Cinematic Universe. To that end, Fox brought on Mark Millar to oversee all of the studio’s Marvel films, including The Wolverine, Fantastic Four, and X-Men: Days of Future Past. But it sounds like his role may not be as involved as we’d previously thought.

Though Millar’s done a bang-up job talking up the new X-Men movie in public, in private it seems he hasn’t had much of a hand in the film. In fact, according to Bryan Singer, they haven’t spoken at all since Singer took over the directing gig back in October. Hit the jump to read Singer’s comment.

Omar Sy Joins ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’

Bryan Singer‘s loaded up his X-Men: Days of Future Past cast with returning stars from both the previous trilogy and the current series, but now there are some fresh faces to get excited about as well. A couple of weeks back, Peter Dinklage became the first new X-Men star when he booked an unnamed villain role. Now he’s being joined by Omar Sy, the French star of The Intouchables.
