Patty Jenkins Directing Wonder Woman 2

After Wonder Woman had a huge opening weekend at the box office and shattered records, it was full steam ahead on all the chatter about a sequel. Director Patty Jenkins had already been vaguely discussing possible paths for a Wonder Woman sequel to take, and everyone reporting on the success of the film has been saying she’ll be back to direct again. But that’s not a done deal yet.

Don’t worry, Wonder Woman 2 is a foregone conclusion at this point, but apparently all the talk of Patty Jenkins being set to direct the sequel were misinformed. At this time, the filmmaker is not currently signed on to direct Wonder Woman 2. However, don’t get out your torches and pitchforks just yet, because she’ll be negotiating a deal to direct very soon.

Wonder Woman Sequel

Wonder Woman hasn’t hit theaters yet (though you wouldn’t know from the lack of marketing for the first solo female superhero movie of the modern age), but director Patty Jenkins already has an idea for a sequel.

There’s no guarantee for Wonder Woman 2 as of yet, since Warner Bros. has not confirmed a sequel, but that hasn’t stopped Jenkins from championing another solo film for the iconic female superhero and member of the Justice League.

Wonder Woman Sequel

The release of Wonder Woman is just a couple months away, and as more footage of the movie has been shown at CinemaCon and WonderCon over the past week, fans are getting more excited to see the DC Comics superheroine get her own adventure on the big screen. But before you get too excited about a Wonder Woman franchise, you should know that it sounds like Warner Bros. and DC are waiting to see what happens with the hero’s first outing before they make any grand pans for the future.
