Wolverine 3 berserker rage

Wolverine 3 will be Hugh Jackman‘s last outing as the clawed mutant who has driven pretty much the entire X-Men franchise with the exception of X-Men: First Class. So far all we know is that the sequel will have some ties to the Old Man Logan comic book arc, and Patrick Stewart as Professor X will be an integral part of the movie.

But Jackman recently teased a couple more things that fans will be happy to see pop up in the sequel, one of which we haven’t seen in any of the previous X-Men movies, and another is a familiar face. Read More »

Old Man Logan

Details on the film have been kept under very tight wraps. But now a new rumor suggests Jackman will be able to give the character a nice sendoff by bringing him into the twilight of his life via the Old Man Logan storyline from the comics. Hit the jump to read all about the Wolverine 3 Old Man Logan rumor.

Hugh Jackman Confirms ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Talks

Wolverine sequel

There will come a day when Hugh Jackman hangs up his Wolverine claws for the very last time. But that day isn’t coming for another couple of movies. Jackman confirmed in a recent interview that not only is he working “really hard” on a new Wolverine, he’s also been in discussions about X-Men: Apocalypse.

Hugh Jackman Wolverine

A few weeks ago, Hugh Jackman told press that he was “99.9% sure” that the next Wolverine movie would be his last outing as the (nearly) ageless mutant. But now that the X-Men: Days of Future Past press tour is in full swing, that remaining 0.01% seems to be gaining ground.

Jackman has since backtracked a bit on his comments, saying that he’s “less sure” about wanting to hang up his claws. In fact, he’s hoping that Wolverine will eventually get a chance to team up with the Avengers. Read his comments after the jump.

X-Men Apocalypse Wolverine 3 Back-to-Back

Wolverine is at the center of X-Men: Days of Future Past, and we know there will be a third solo Wolverine film. But with Hugh Jackman aging just like everyone else, doing that hardcore Wolverine workout isn’t getting any easier. Getting in shape to play the character is serious work, and isn’t something Jackman can do forever.

So one solution seems obvious, especially if the character will factor in to both X-Men: Apocalypse in 2016, and Wolverine 3 in 2017. Shoot the movies back to back, so Jackman can get in shape once, hold it for the duration of the two films, and then relax a bit. That’s what Jackman and the producers want to do; now we’ll see if it can happen. Read More »
