Welcome the museum of American Independent Film. Have you been here before? Oh, good! Then you know that the Middle-Aged Sad Sack Comedian wing is to the left and the Quirky New York Girl Learns How To Break Out Of Her Shell wing is to the right. May I recommend a visit to the latter? There’s a new exhibit on display: the trailer for Carrie Pilby, which features Diary of a Teenage Girl star Bel Powley as a hyper-intelligent, neurotic young woman who learns how to navigate life and love in the Big Apple.

While many are looking ahead a couple weeks to the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story in just two weeks, some may be looking forward to getting absolutey crazy with a raunchy, R-rated holiday comedy, and Office Christmas Party will try to come through next week.
A new trailer for the comedy from Blades of Glory directors Josh Gordon and Will Speck has just arrived, and while it shows more of the party shenanigans that happen in an office in downtown Chicago, it also shows more of the outside happenings, including Jennifer Aniston assaulting some guy, and Karan Soni (the cab driver from Deadpool) trying to get a hooker from Jillian Bell (22 Jump Street).

With December just around the corner, it’s time for your office to start planning their annual office party, but I can almost guarantee that yours won’t be quite as epic as the festivities that will unfold in Office Christmas Party.
The new R-rated holiday comedy is coming to theaters next week, and to help spread the cheer; three new clips have just debuted online. There’s no new peeks at the impending holiday party, but these are clips from earlier in the film leading up to the massive shindig that will go awry in Chicago. The first two are tame enough, but the last one has some potentially NSFW language if you’re not listening with headphones.

Not too long ago, a couple tracks from the soundtrack of this summer’s mockumentary comedy Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping debuted online, showcasing the latest tunes crafted by The Lonely Island. The rap trio formed by Andy Samberg, Akiva Shaffer and Jorma Taccone got their start on Saturday Night Live with signature tracks like “Lazy Sunday” and “I’m On a Boat.” For the season finale this past weekend, they brought their rhymes back to SNL in a new music video for yet another track from Popstar. With subject matter that tackles sex and Osama Bin Laden, it’s the most ridiculous one yet.

Knowing the comedy of Amy Schumer and Judd Apatow, you get the feeling there aren’t many clips from the upcoming Trainwreck that are safe for work. They did manage to find one, though. It features Bill Hader‘s character calling Schumer’s character the day after they sleep together. Notoriously promiscuous, Schumer’s character and her friend (Vanessa Bayer) are very confused at the seemingly normal, kind gesture. Hader’s friend, on the other hand, is loving it. Oh, and his friend is NBA MVP Lebron James.
Trainwreck opens July 17. Watch the first Trainwreck clip below. Read More »

If you’ve seen even a little bit of her Comedy Central series, you already know that Amy Schumer one of the funniest actresses on the small screen. Now she’s poised to take over the big screen as well, as the writer and star of Judd Apatow‘s Trainwreck.
Schumer plays a woman who’s utterly allergic to commitment. Actually, “commitment” seems like too strong a word — based on the Trainwreck trailer, she doesn’t even like getting to the second date if she can help it. Enter a handsome doctor played by Bill Hader, who threatens to upend her life.
The supporting cast is equally stellar, with Vanessa Bayer and Lebron James(!) as Schumer and Hader’s supportive pals, Tilda Swinton as Schumer’s boss, and much much more. Watch the first Trainwreck trailer after the jump.
Update: A Trainwreck red-band trailer has also hit, with more raunchy jokes. Plus, a new poster and new stills — see it all below. Read More »
