Underworld Blood Wars Trailer - Kate Beckinsale

It’s hard to believe, but we’re coming up on the fifth film in the Underworld franchise. Originally, this sequel started out as a reboot that Kate Beckinsale wasn’t going to be involved in, but the actress returned to the lead role as Selene, and the movie was retooled as just another sequel. Now the first trailer for Underworld: Blood Wars has arrived, and you’ll see that it’s not much different than the first Underworld movie from all the way back in 2003.

‘Underworld: Blood Wars’ Delayed to 2017

The Lycans and the vampires will have to wait a little longer for their next showdown. Screen Gems has pushed Underworld: Blood Wars out of the 2016 Halloween season and all the way into 2017. uncharted movie release date

Sony dated two Bad Boys sequels today, but those flags weren’t the only ones planted by the studio. There’s also the Dark Tower release plan, and a date for a new Jumanji movie, too. And that isn’t all.

Last month, we got word that Theo James would lead the next Underworld movie and that original star Kate Beckinsale would not be back. But just because she’s not returning for that particular installment doesn’t mean she’s left behind the vamp world for good.

Director Len Wiseman says there are two Underworld movies in development currently, and that one of those could feature Beckinsale. In addition, there’s also an Underworld TV series in the works.
