Regardless of her acting talent, which frankly has yet to be proven (look to Jennifer’s Body for that) you’ve got to love Megan Fox. On screen some comes across like the ultimate fembot, glammed- and dolled-up almost beyond the point of humanity. She’s a pouting, posing, running machine, especially in the hands of Michael Bay. But in interviews she’s reliably awesome, because she evidently thinks she’s hot enough to say any damn thing in the world. And, for right now, that might be true. Cue a bunch of slightly trash-talking comments about Bay and Transformers 2, which has led to a head-shaking, condescending response from Bay. What better way to start the weekend? Read More »

Update: Paramount says that no Transformers 2 or GI Joe footage will be shown at the convention.
Paramount won’t be doing any panels at Comic Con this year, but according to IESB, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen will still have a presence at the convention. Apparently Paramount/Dreamworks has given Hasbro permission to show some early footage during their panel. It’s been previously reported that Hasbro will also have some goodies from the upcoming G.I. Joe film. And while no footage of JJ Abrams’ Star Trek reboot/prequel is expected, Paramount has confirmed the film will have a presence on the exhibit floor. I’m guessing they will be offering some kind of swag for giveaway, and who knows, we might even get to see some props from the film (I know nothing, this is just a guess).
Seibertron have gotten their hands on what some are claiming to be a camera phone photo of the poster for the upcoming Transformers sequel. But is this the real teaser poster for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen? I’m guessing its a fake, but we’ll probably find out shortly. Im not sure we’ve ever seen the Autobot or Decipticon pictured, but it looks like a cross between Megatron and the T-X from Terminator 3.
Discuss: Is it Real or Fake?

A few weeks ago we showed you a piece of concept art created by a couple fans to show what a SR-71 Blackbird might look like as Decipticon Jetfire in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Jolin and Jester are at it again, this time they have created concept art of Trailbreaker. His vehicle mode is a Chevy Tahoe Offroad Edition. ILM should hire these guys.
Here’s the non-spoiler part of this post: Shia LaBeouf will ride a motorcycle in Transformers 2. Wow. And it might, just might!, be a robot in disguise. After the jump, we’ll dive into the latest sp-sp-spoiler rumors for Transformers 2 courtesy of the Movie Blog. These spoilers center on odd things happening to LaBeouf’s character in the film, rather than the oddity that is Beetlejuice. Against better judgment, we’ll rank the following spoilers a 7/10 on the Slashfilm Privy Meter. If you’re already shellshocked by the amount of T2 info rolling in—aww—realize that you’re not alone. Feel free to express your exhaustion in the comments. From here on, venture down buzzkill beach at your own discretion…oh, and we’ve also included a pic of LaBeouf/Fox doing something on said motorcycle.
Discuss: What do you think of the spoilers? Sound legit to you? Sounds pretty Michael Bayian to me.
Michael Bay revealed a couple new details in an interview with the New Jersey Times. The story picks up with Mikaela Banes (Megan Fox) visiting Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) at a fictional East Coast school with an Ivy League feel. Apparently Banes didn’t have enough money to go to college and was left behind in Los Angeles. And while the first movie was about a boy and his first car, Bay says that the new movie “is all about Sam growing up and going to college … a teenager growing into a man.” Rainn Wilson was spotted on set the same day that they were shooting a scene where Sam is late to his Astronomy 101 class, which might mean that Wilson is Witwicky’s Astronomy professor. Photo to the right thanks to TLive.
Josh Duhamel who played Captain Lennox in the original film tells Empire Magazine that the biggest change in the sequel is “who [Lennox is] working with “, emphasizing the “Who he’s working with.” This seems to confirm speculation that the Autobots might have to form an alliance with the Decepticons to fight something bigger. Could those rumors about Fallen actually be true?
And for those wondering, the cool “Revenge is Coming… 2009” set-up pictured at the top of this post (thanks to KD), was on display at The My Little Pony Fair 2008 (who knew?), which took place at Hasbro, Inc.’s Providence, Rhode Island headquarters last week.
Lester “Beetlejuice” Green has supposedly been spotted on the Princeton set of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Many people know the little man with the even smaller head as one of the members of the Wack Pack on the Howard Stern Show. And anyone who reads the site knows I’m a huge Stern fan from wayyyy back (he gets me through my blogging day). There was a casting call for “a male little person, any ethnicity, age between 30 and 65.” Green (seen behind Michael Bay in the photo above) has appeared on the big screen before, in 2001’s Scary Movie 2 and Bubble Boy. Could he be making a cameo in Transformers 2, or is he just visiting the set?
PhillyFilmGirl also captured video of Frenzy attacking a car. Check it out after the jump.

As you guys already know, Jetfire has been revealed to be a SR-71 Blackbird for the upcoming sequel Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. A bunch of people over at the Don Murphy forums have created fan made concept art based soley on the alt mode. Jolin and Jester created the one above. And Ra88 created the drawings below. As always, click to enlarge. Great work guys!

A couple new Transformers 2 updates. First up, Megan Fox tells MTV that Transformers sequel will be ten times bigger and talks about the rewrites created by the writers strike.
“As big as the first movie was, this is 10 times as big, 10 times as many set pieces, explosions, and acrobatic stunts,” Fox told MTV. “You know, we’ve been having script meetings, and we’ve been reworking the script, because they wrote it fast because of the writer’s strike. And, we’ve just been going through and trying to do some character stuff for Shia and myself in the middle of this crazy world that they’re in. I can tell you that we’re on locations in some really exotic places. It’s just going to be a badass movie. It’s just going to be a popcorn-visual-spectacle, summer film.”
I’m sure the 10 times as big is only slightly exaggerated. The first film cost an estimated $150 million, and if Fox’s claims were literally true, the sequel would cost $1.5 billion. But speaking of exotic locations… [location spoiler warning]
