‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’ Trailer

Now that Bella and Edward have spent three whole films falling desperately in love, they’re finally taking things to the next level. In the brand-new trailer for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1, everyone’s favorite sparklevamp and his beloved invite their loved ones to watch them make it official.

In real life, when my roommate and I get invitations to our human friends’ weddings, we post them on our fridge and then forget about them until all the cheap registry gifts are already taken. Apparently, getting invited to a vampire wedding is far more exciting and involves way more ripping off of shirts in the rain. Watch the trailer after the jump.

It’s a wedding! Squee! I know that the /Film audience is not, by and large, one that is obsessed with every little bit of Twilight news that comes across the interwebs, but the first real footage from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 is something of interest. There’s not a lot to this clip, which is (of course) a cross-promotion with MTV. It is essentially an example of that new breed of movie marketing, a trailer for a trailer. But if you’re truly on the hook for Twilight, you can watch a bride walk down the aisle to her vampire, after the break. Read More »

You can’t put lipstick on a pig, as they say, so there’s no way to dress this up: rather than updating the poster article from earlier today to include this teaser one-sheet for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1, I’m giving the image its own space. No characters are revealed in this poster — it’s just a pretty ol’ sunset with a logo overlaid. No vampire baby births or werewolf love scenes, sorry. There’s not even really anything to make fun of. We at /Film are well aware of how much you guys love Twilight news, so we try our best to keep you updated on the latest in the phenomenally popular sparkling-vampire series. To that end, we have a batch of new The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 images that have just been released via press release, just days after we posted the last set of stills. You’re welcome.

The new photos include images of Michael Sheen and Jamie Campbell Bower (a.k.a. Gellert Grindelwald from the Harry Potter series) as vampire coven leaders Aro and Caius, Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner) looking tough on a motorcycle, and Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella (Kristen Stewart) playing chess in what appears to be a Pottery Barn catalog. Mull ‘em over after the jump.

Add yet another film to the already tight 2011 IMAX theater schedule. Or maybe two. DreamWorks just announced that their Shrek spin-off, Puss In Boots, is going to play on domestic IMAX screens for two weeks beginning November 4. Why only two weeks when there’s no film scheduled for IMAX release on November 18? Well, that’s the day The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 is coming out and pretty much guarantees Summit is gearing up to release the film in the large screen format. Check out the full upcoming IMAX schedule, and learn more about the films, after the jump. Read More »

UPDATE: As some have noted, this photo of Mackenzie Foy is not a still from Breaking Dawn, but from a photoshoot with the actress. We apologize for the confusion, and blame the very Twilight-esque field of flowers. The title treatment below is the real deal, so the post stands.

Here are two tidbits from the first part of Breaking Dawn, the final chapter(s) in The Twilight Saga. Above is a crop of the first look at Mackenzie Foy as Renesmee, aka the daughter of Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and Bella (Kristen Stewart). And below is a full version of that image, along with the thrilling title card (or ‘title treatment’ as Summit calls it) for the film. Read More »
